Have an appetite for Italian food? Well, then, Bucca di Beppo, at 2635 Edmondson Road in Norwood, is the place for you. This is definitely a place where you will want to come hungry. Make sure you don’t go alone, because they serve family style. A small entrée feeds up to three people, and a large one feeds up to six.
If you are planning to go there on the weekend, make sure to place a reservation, because they tend to be busy. The atmosphere is quite welcoming and friendly.
When you are ordering, make sure to ask for the homemade bread that should come with your meal. If you are thinking about getting a starter, I would highly recommend the apple gorgonzola salad. It has Granny Smith apples, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, spiced pecans, onions, dried cranberries, and a house Italian dressing. This is the best salad I have ever eaten.
For the main course, I would normally go for the penne arrabbiata, which is my favorite. This is a spicy dish consisting of penne pasta, sausage, and a house-made marinara sauce.
If you are the type that doesn’t like spicy foods, I would go for the spaghetti and meatballs. I have to warn you about their meatballs, though. When I say they are huge, they are huge. They are half a pound each.
I would also go for their pepperoni pizza. This is your classic, traditional pizza. It literally melts in your mouth. As for dessert, I honestly couldn’t tell you what to get, because I am usually too stuffed to get anything else. I only go there on special occasions, but trust me, you can’t go wrong on anything you order.
